I, Gabrielle, have always loved fashion and accessories. I also happen to love running a small business and making beautiful things.
I started my first business in college, making and selling hand stamped metal cuff bracelets. I carried this business with me early into my corporate career and then pivoted to try my hand at running an online fashion boutique. This was an utter failure as the planned launch date was March of 2020 (sigh) but I am glad I tried because I learned so much. My greatest learning was that I like selling my own work and vision far more than sourcing and selling anyone else's. Then I moved to NYC...
Macked was born one morning when I was headed to brunch with a friend and I had a vision for my outfit but I didn't own the jewelry to bring it to life. I was bothered (and bored) enough that I ran to Michaels, bought a ton of supplies and made my first necklace to wear out for our 1pm reservation. I was hooked from there. I continued to create styles for myself, my friends and family and even my bridesmaids later that year.
Realizing I had more design ideas than I'd ever need to own myself and drawing on my previous small business experience, I planned my first full launch in March of 2025 and Macked was officially born. One year later in January of 2026 I was able to quit my corporate job and go full time with Macked. I truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world! Thank you for being here and for supporting this long time dream that I really never though would be possible for a girl like me.
